WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The No. 11 Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling team delivered a strong performance on the road in their final regular season meet Sunday (Mar. 29) afternoon, defeating West Liberty, 260.460–236.075. With the win, the Pioneers move to (6-2, 5-1 MEC) and prepare for postseason competition

The meet opened with the Compulsory Event, where Glenville State set the tone early. The Pioneers claimed all four heats—Acro, Pyramid, Toss, and Tumbling—to start with a solid lead. Key scores included a 9.75 in the Toss heat and a 9.60 in Pyramid, helping Glenville State reach a 37.00-34.85 advantage after the first event.

Glenville extended its lead in the Acro Event, turning in strong performances across all three heats. The Pioneers posted scores of 9.75 in the 5-Element heat and 9.70 in the 7-Element heat to control the event and further push their overall lead to 65.60-60.65.

The momentum continued into the Pyramid Event, where Glenville State once again swept all three heats. The Pioneers recorded nearly flawless routines, highlighted by matching 9.80 scores in both the Inversion and Synchronized heats, along with a meet high score of 9.85 in the Open heat. At the end of the half, Glenville State held a comfortable 95.05-88.90 lead.

Out of the break, the Pioneers remained in control during the Toss Event. A 9.75 in the 450 Salto heat set the pace, and consistent execution in the remaining heats secured the event win, adding to their total lead.

The Tumbling Event showed no changes to the feeling of the meet. The Pioneers claimed multiple passes and posted strong scores, dominating throughout. Highlights included a 9.50 in the aerial pass and a 9.70 in the open pass, helping Glenville State widen the gap even further. West Liberty finished strong in the Team Event, posting a 76.800, but Glenville State's 86.260, along with earlier performances, proved too much to overcome.
