BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling program landed four Pioneers on the All-MEC First Team, the league announced today. MEC Athlete of the Year Savannah Duckworth, Emilia Underwood, Sydney West and Kinley Stanley were all recognized by the Mountain East Conference.
 
ALL-MEC FIRST TEAM
SAVANNAH DUCKWORTH
Duckworth became just the second non-Fairmont State Falcon to win MEC Athlete of the Year in the seven-year history of the league, with Frostburg State's Abbie Baker in 2023 being the only other winner. Duckworth captured MEC Athlete of the Week twice and was once NCATA Athlete of the Week honorable mention in 2026, using her 11 competed heats per meet to her advantage. The Worthington, W.Va. native is a former NCATA All-American and now three-time All-MEC First Team selection, solidifying her spot as one of the top athletes in recent history at Glenville State.
 
EMILIA UNDERWOOD
Underwood, a product of Bridgeport, W.Va., is a two-time All-MEC Second Team selection prior to this year's First Team nod. The senior earned MEC Specialist of the Week in February and was NCATA Specialist of the Week honorable mention in early April.
 
SYDNEY WEST
West, who was a pivotal piece for the Pioneers once again in 2026, contributed to six Pioneer wins as a top and tumbler. The 2025 MEC Champion in 7-Element Acro has competed in all eight meets thus far for Glenville State and has been instrumental in all six events.
 
KINLEY STANLEY
Stanley, who transferred in from West Virginia State, added points to the board for the Pioneers as a base and tumbler. The Nashville, Tenn. native became the third Pioneer base to earn MEC honors in 2026, showcasing the strength in the compulsory, acro, pyramid and toss events for GSU.
