GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling has stayed put at No. 11 in this week's NCATA National Rankings, the association announced.
The Pioneers closed out the regular season (6-2) overall and (5-1) in the Mountain East Conference after a compelling performance at West Liberty on Sunday (Mar. 29), where the Pioneers posted a season-high 260.460. GSU is awaiting their seeding and matchup for postseason competition in the MEC Tournament next Friday (Apr. 10) and Saturday (Apr. 11). Glenville State's two losses came to a pair of top 10 opponents in Fairmont State (#4) and Gannon (#7) and the Pioneers are the sixth-best Division II in this week's rankings.
The NCATA championships committee considers the overall performance of teams throughout the season thus far and utilized the following criteria to consider team rankings: W/L record, strength of schedule, head-to-head competition, common opponents, average meet score (adjusted to remove high/low), average meet start value (adjusted to remove high/low), score differential (adjusted to remove high/low) and the teams' progression throughout the season.
