GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling had three Pioneers earn NCATA weekly honors, the association announced.
Savannah Duckworth (Athlete),
Emilia Underwood (Specialist) and
Emma Baukol (Freshman) all earned Honorable Mention for this past week's awards.
Duckworth, who was the MEC Athlete of the Week, was a top in compulsory acro, which GSU posted a program record with a score of 9.50. The top / tumbler was also crucial in the Pioneers posting season high's in the tumbling event, 5-Element acro, heat two pyramid and team event.
Underwood, a senior out of nearby Bridgeport, W.Va., helped the Pioneers score a 9.80 in both heat one and two of the pyramid event while scoring a 9.85 in the third heat. The 9.80 in heat two was a season-high for the Pioneers.
Baukol, who was also a member of the three pyramid heats that impressed at West Liberty, served as the team's base for the three scores of 9.80 or better. Like Underwood and Duckworth, Baukol assisted GSU in their 86.260 team event score.
