GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State athletes
Janae Scott,
Zach Dellerman and
Will Jackson have earned
GoMart Pioneers of the Week honors, the GSU Athletic Department announced.
Scott was impressive all weekend, winning both the discus and shot put at Friday's Golden Eagle Invite in Charleston. Scott hit the NCAA Provisional Mark in the discus and four of her six throws were good enough to get the provo mark, with 46.68m being her best heave. She currently ranks 17th in the country in the event.
Dellerman was stellar for the Pioneers, pitching a complete game shutout with just three hits allowed and seven strikeouts in game one of the series. Dellerman then came into game four of the series and pitching 0.2 innings and struck out one to secure the save.
Jackson hit the NCAA Provisional Mark and placed 2nd in the hammer throw at this weekend's Golden Eagle Invite in Charleston, notching a 57.51m throw. His throw secured him the school record and ranks him 30th nationally in the event. Jackson also placed 3rd in the discus throw at 45.21m.
