Glenville State University Athletics

Dave McEntire is in his 19th season as an Assistant Coach for the Glenville State Football program in 2025. McEntire is the Special Teams Coordinator while also serving as the Director of Football Operations and Recruiting Coordinator. On campus, he is the Academic Oversight Coordinator.
 
Prior to joining the Pioneer staff, Coach McEntire served as Assistant Defensive Line Coach and Junior Varsity Head Coach at Buffalo State. 
 
Coach McEntire graduated from Buffalo State College in December 2005 with a dual degree in History and Individualized Studies and a minor in Coaching. He received a Masters of Education in Physical Education and Health from Salem International University in April 2008. McEntire also played for the Buffalo State defense. He recorded 33 tackles, 10.5 tackles for losses, and 2.5 sacks during his career. 
 
Coach McEntire is originally from Rochester, New York. He is married to GSU employee Tegan McEntire. 
 
They reside in Glenville with their son, Brennen and daughter, Fionna.
