Brett Morris enters his first season as an assistant coach on the Pioneers Men's Basketball staff.

Morris is a native of Cown, W.Va., and a Glenville State University alumnus. Brett played for four seasons with the Pioneers and had a successful career. While at Glenville, Morris made the NCAA Tournament twice and was a part of the 2015 squad that won the Mountain East Conference Tournament.

The Webster County native had a tremendous senior year making the All-MEC First Team. During the 2016-17 campaign Brett started every game and averaged 18.7 points per contest.

With having a successful career at Glenville State University, Morris had the opportunity to play professionally overseas. Brett spent five years in Europe after graduation playing in Luxembourg and Georgia.

When asked about the hire, Coach Bob Bolen stated “Brett is a young energetic rising coach that was a tremendous player at GSU. We are excited that he is joining our staff.”
