Caitlyn Sturm is in her first season as the Head Coach of the Glenville State Women's Golf program in 2025-26.
Sturm, who has worked at both Stonewall Resort and Lakeview Resort as a Golf Professional, comes to Glenville with years of experience in the profession. A 2017 graduate of the Golf Academy of America – Myrtle Beach, Sturm was also a Certified Personal Golf Coach at GolfTec. Most recently, she was the head boy’s soccer coach at Lewis County High School (Weston, W.Va.) for two years and helped start the first-ever golf team at Robert L. Bland Middle School this past spring.
“I am beyond excited for the opportunity to coach at this level,” said Sturm. “Coaching at the college level has always been a dream of mine since I began coaching. I want to thank Jesse Skiles and the University for this opportunity.”
She comes into Glenville with the Pioneers having a plethora of success over the past three seasons, winning three-straight Mountain East Conference championships and finishing in the top 10 of the region in each of the last two seasons.
“We are excited to have Coach Sturm in the Pioneer Family. She has a tremendous background in golf teaching and education, plus she has strong connections at GSU and the community,” said Director of Athletics Jesse Skiles.
