Eric Belcher

Eric Belcher enters his fourth season as the Head Women's Soccer coach at Glenville State College.

Last season, 2019, was a historical one for the Lady Pioneers and Coach Belcher. They recorded the most wins in a season as an NCAA DII sport as they finished 3-15 while also picking up the first conference win in school history as they defeated Wheeling University 3-2. It also went down as the first home win in program history.

In the first inaugural year for the women's soccer program, 2018, GSC went 0-18 while scoring four total goals.

In 2017, the Lady Pioneers went 3-3-2 with wins over Salem University and WVU's Club team. This season GSC makes the jump to an NCAA sport and a member of the MEC.

Belcher comes to Glenville State from Salem International University where he was the assistant men's soccer coach and head junior varsity coach. He also was the head girls coach for the Mountain State Soccer Club for girls 12 and under.

He previously coached the women's soccer team at Cecil College between 2011 and 2015 and served as the head men's coach at Cecil from 2012 to 2015.

"It is a great honor to be starting this new chapter for Glenville State Athletics in women's soccer. I am very thankful for this great opportunity," said Coach Belcher.

Belcher graduated from Edgewood High School in 2004 and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and a minor in Art from Alderson Broaddus University in 2009. He is originally from Edgewood, Maryland.
