Glenville State University Athletics

Bridget Carr enters her fourth season as the Head Coach for the Glenville State Cheerleading program in 2025-26. 
 
In 2024, the Pioneers took 2nd place in the sideline performance at the UCA (Universal Cheerleaders Association) event on the campus of East Tennessee State.

In her first semester as coach, the program had the opportunity and traveled to the 2022 Women’s Basketball National Championship in Birmingham, Ala. Since then, the squad has made more trips traveling with the Pioneers to Mountain East Conference Championships. Carr’s love for cheerleading began when she started at Sutton middle school.  
 
Bridget is a graduate of Glenville State University. She earned her degree in 2017 with a bachelor’s in behavioral science. In 2018, Carr pursued her master’s degree in marriage and family counseling and completed the degree in 2021. 
 
Along with working in athletics here at Glenville State, Carr serves as the University’s Associate Director of International Student Services. With this role, she works on recruiting students from all over the world to attend GSU.
