Jagger Furr enters his third year leading the Glenville State Sports Information Department in 2025-26.
Furr serves as the primary contact for Football, Wrestling and Softball as well as Cheerleading & Boxing. He also can be contacted regarding any of the other 12 sponsored Glenville State teams. Furr is also over all creative content, primarily with graphic design and video, for all GSU Athletics and team sponsored social media platforms.
In 2024-25, Furr enjoyed the opportunity to cover the Women's Golf team and Wrestling team once again winning Mountain East Conference Championships. In addition, he covered the Acro & Tumbling, Women's Basketball, Men's Basketball and Softball programs reaching the MEC Tournament in their respective sport with Softball capturing their first-ever MEC South Division and Regular Season Championship. The MBB program advanced to the MEC Tournament Semifinals and the WBB team appeared in the MEC Tournament Championship. To go along with the team success, Furr covered numerous individual conference champions, All-Conference, All-Region and All-American athletes. Furr led the content production for these athletes as well.
In his first year at GSU in 2023-24, he covered the Women's Golf team and the Wrestling team winning Mountain East Conference Championships as well as the Baseball, Acro & Tumbling, Women's Basketball, Men's Basketball, Women's Soccer and Softball programs making the MEC Tournament. He also had the opportunity to produce content for numerous All-Conference, All-Region and All-American athletes during the year.
Prior to taking over at GSU, Furr spent eight months as the Sports Information Director at MEC member West Virginia Wesleyan. He got introduced to the SID world as a student at Glenville State University, working as a student worker in the SID Department for three years before landing at WVWC.
Furr graduated from Glenville State in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
