John Lilly

John Lilly enters seventh season as the Head Coach of the Glenville State Men's Golf program in 2025-26.

In 2024-25, Lilly coached two All-Conference performers in Fermin Perez Santandrea (All-MEC Second Team) and Bumin Choi (All-MEC Honorable Mention). The Pionees finished fourth at the MEC Spring Classic and sixth at the MEC Fall Championship.
 
The 2023 Pioneers had another successful season, competing in the NCAA Atlantic / East Regional, having an All-American, Conference Freshman of the Year and two All-MEC honorees. Lilly was also named MEC Golf Coach of the Year.

In 2022, Glenville State finished second at the MEC Fall Championship, which is the squad's highest finish under Coach Lilly. Freshman, Huan Monckeberg, flourished under Lilly leading to Co-Freshman of the Year and an All-MEC First Team selection. Monckeburg also qualified for the NCAA Atlantic Regional where he had the lowest round out of the entire field. In total, the Pioneers claimed four All-MEC spots with Shaydon Johnson, Mathias Nunez, and Bumin Choi.   
 
During the 2021 season, GSU finished in 9th place in the MEC Championship.  
 
Coach Lilly led the Pioneer golf program to a 9th place finish at the MEC Championship in 2019-20, while Kyle Chung ran away with the medalist honors. Chung also was named the MEC Golfer of the Year and Freshman of the Year in the MEC.  
 
In 2018-19, the Pioneers finished 11th at the MEC Championship while they took 4th place in the Mister Bee Potato Chips Intercollegiate Golf Championship.  
 
In 2017, the Pioneers won the MEC Woodhaven Shootout and in 2018 finished in 9th place in the league Spring Championship. GSC also had two golfers land on the MEC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. 
 
John resides in Glenville.  Â
