Rylan Ashe

Rylan Ashe was named a Defensive Analyst with the Glenville State Football program in April. He is entering his first season with the Pioneers in 2026.

Ashe, who spent the 2025 season as the Running Backs Coach at Georgia Military College, comes to Glenville with a linebacking background. He played four seasons at Division II North Greenville in South Carolina, who is a member of the Conference Carolinas, and was a two-year starter for the Trailblazers. Ashe played in 38 career games, including an appearance in 10+ in each of his last three seasons at NGU, and toted 95 tackles, 7.5 TFLs and 3.5 sacks during his playing career. He had his best season as a redshirt senior in 2024, when he had 51 tackles, 3.5 TFLs, three pass deflections and 1.5 sacks.

The Ridgeville, S.C. native brings versatility that Coach Casteel says will help the Pioneer linebacking core. “I always think it’s a good thing for guy that’s coached on the other side of the ball,” noted Casteel on The Jake Casteel Show. “He’s been a really good addition and has helped me out a ton. Just in the day-to-day, on the field and with the players, he’s been great.”

Ashe graduated from Woodland High School in 2020 and from North Greenville University in 2023 & 2024 with degrees in Cybersecurity and Organizational Leadership.
