Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Lady Pioneers volleyball team got their first victory of the 2016 season on the road Wednesday night against non-conference foe Salem International, 3-0.

The Lady Pioneers would get off to a fast start as they took the first set of the match, 25-14. However the second set would be much closer but GSC still took it, 25-18. And in the third set the Lady Pioneers finished off the Tigers, 25-14.

Glenville State had 21 more attacks in the contest than Salem International but committed three more errors.

Bailey Brawner led the Lady Pioneers as she had a game high nine kills and had six serve aces. Ai Miyazaki finished with eight kills in the match and also had six serve aces in the game.

Allison Parski had a team high 16 assists for GSC while Madison Gargus had 15 assists.

Glenville State (1-19, 0-4) will hit the road this weekend as they travel to West Liberty University on Friday, October 14^th for 5:00 p.m. game and on Saturday, October 15^th they will travel to Wheeling Jesuit University for a 2:00 p.m. game.
