Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Lady Pioneers Volleyball team dropped their season opening match to the Fighting Falcons of Fairmont State University at the Cavalier Classic Volleyball Tournament hosted by Walsh University.

The Lady Pioneers (0-1, 0-0) would drop all three sets to the Fight Falcons as they fell 25-12, 25-12, and 25-13.

Leading GSC was Bailey Brawner as she finished with four kills, four assists, and six digs. Brawner, also had two server aces in the contest. Meanwhile Madison Smith finished with two kills and five digs. 

Fairmont State was led by Julia Shemaitis as she had 10 kills and 10 digs in the win.

Glenville State (0-1, 0-0) will take on Walsh University tonight at 7:00 p.m.
