Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Lady Pioneer volleyball team dropped a home contest to the West Liberty University Hilltoppers on Tuesday night, 3-0.
Glenville State (0-14, 0-6) finished with just 25 kills on 96 attacks but committed 24 errors while West Liberty (12-9, 3-3) racked up 41 kills on 106 attacks and committed just 11 errors. Â
GSC took an early lead in the first set at 14-12 however West Liberty would make a comeback and took the set 25-22 over the Lady Pioneers. In the second set it was all West Liberty as they had 12 kills to GSC's five as they defeated the Lady Pioneers 25-11.
The third and final set would be closer but the Lady Pioneers would end up on the losing end falling 25-17.
Bailey Brawner led the Lady Pioneers in kills with nine while Jazaray Clark-Casto chipped in with seven.
Haley Wolff had two serve aces while
Allison Parski finished the game with 13 assists.
Ai Miyazaki led the team in digs with 15.
West Liberty was led by Raimey Benson with 12 kills while Kendall Souder had 22 assists on the night.
Glenville State (0-14, 0-6) will return to action this Saturday, October 14
th as they host the Cardinals of Wheeling Jesuit at 4 p.m. from the Waco Center.
