Glenville, W.Va. – The GSC Lady Pioneer volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to the Golden Eagles of the University of Charleston at home on Thursday evening.
Glenville State (0-12, 0-4) finished the night with 34 kills while the University of Charleston (8-8, 4-0) racked up 42 kills in the contest.
The Golden Eagles would jump out to an early lead in the first set at 5-2. Glenville State made a run but it was too little too late as UC took set one 25-18. The Golden Eagles then went on to defeat GSC in set two 25-18 and took the third set by the same score 25-18.
Glenville State had four more attacks in the game than UC 104-100. However the Lady Pioneers committed 25 errors while the Golden Eagles had just 12 on the night.
Bailey Brawner and
Haley Wolff each had nine kills on the night with Brawner also having two serve aces.
Madison Gargus and
Allison Parski each had 16 assists while
Bailey Brawner led the team in 12 digs.
Glenville State (0-12, 0-4) will hit the road this Saturday, October 7
th as they travel to West Virginia State for a 1:00 p.m. matchup with the Yellow Jackets.
