Glenville, W.Va. – The Lady Pioneers finished 1-1 at the Carol Eckman Classic in West Chester, Pennsylvania over the weekend as they fell to the West Chester Golden Rams on Sunday, 97-84.

Glenville State (1-1) finished the night shooting 39 percent from the floor and 24 percent from deep as they went just 9-of-37 while West Chester (2-0) shot 47 percent from the field and 30 percent from behind the three-point line. Â Â Â

The Lady Pioneers defense only managed to force the Golden Rams into 17 turnovers while GSC turned it over 21 times on the night. West Chester also outscored the Lady Pioneers by 10 in the paint 52 to 42. GSC was able to dominate the offensive glass by pulling down 22 offensive rebounds compared to the Golden Rams' 13.

Glenville State had two players score in double figures with Paris McLeod leading the way with a team high 21 points to go with seven rebounds, five assists, but had six turnovers. Kristin DesRocher chipped in with 17 points as she went 3-of-7 from deep.

For West Chester, Camden Boehner led all scores with 32 points. Boehner also tallied three rebounds, three steals, and five assists. Porscha Speller chipped in with a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds.

The Lady Pioneers (1-1) will return to action and start MEC play on Saturday, November 18
th, with a home matchup against the Hilltoppers of West Liberty. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. from the Waco Center.
