Glenville, W.Va. – The GSC Acrobatics & Tumbling team had a good showing on Saturday in their first home meet of the 2017 season as they hosted the Fairmont State University Falcons.

In the first event FSU would edge out GSC as they took the compulsory event 37.25 to 33.00.

The Lady Pioneers came back strong in the arco event however the Flacons would also win it 28.85 to 25.50.

In the third event Glenville State would keep it close but Fairmont State took the pyramid event 27.75 to 26.35 as the Falcons held a 93.85 to 84.85 lead at the break.

After intermission GSC would take the first heat of the toss event as they scored an 8.75 to FSU's 8.5 however again the Falcons won the next two heats as they took the toss event 26.60 to 26.10.

The Lady Pioneers then took two heats in the tumbling event, with Brianna D'Angelo scoring a 8.95 in the aerial pass, before the Falcons won it 50.575 to 48.878. FSU held a 171.025 to 159.825 lead with just the team event to go.

GSC would have a great team event as they scored an 81.70 but FSU took the team event with a 90.97 and the Falcons would take the meet 261.995 to 241.525.

Glenville State will return to action on Friday, February 17th as they travel to Georgetown College for a 7:00 p.m. meet.
