Glenville, W.Va. – The GSC Lady Pioneers Acrobatics & Tumbling team picked up their third win of the season on Saturday afternoon at the Waco Center defeating the Georgetown College Tigers.
Glenville State won the first event, the compulsory event, as they scored a 9.6 in the pyramid and a 9.75 in the toss and scored a total 35.90 to the Tigers 24.55.
The Lady Pioneers would extend their lead in the acro event as they took it 28.35 to 17.39.
In the last event before halftime the pyramid event, GSC took all three heats as they won it 27.25 to 23.92. GSC took the lead into intermission 91.5 to Georgetown's 65.86.
After halftime the Lady Pioneers went out and would win the toss event 27.20 to the Tigers 21.30.
Glenville State had a great showing in the tumbling event.
Brianna D'Angelo scored a 9.65 in the aerial, with
Tori Peterson scoring a 8.825 in the six element, and
Sarah DiSpaltro scored a 9.275 in the open as the Lady Pioneers won the event 51.3 to 41.45.
In the last event, the team event, Glenville State scored a 86.51 to Georgetown's 55.99 as the Lady Pioneers won the meet and scored a season high 256.51 to 184.595.
The Lady Pioneers next meet will be on Saturday, March 25th at Quinnipiac University at 12:00 p.m.
