Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Athletic Department and the Football Office are pleased to announce the hiring of
Roosevelt Williams,
Michael Elder, and
Anton McCallum as Assistant Coaches.

Roosevelt Williams comes to Glenville State after serving as the Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs coach at  Lincoln University in Oxford, Pennsylvania. He has served as the  Defensive Coordinator at Seton Hill University in  Greensburg, PA, with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts, and for several other teams.
 He started his NFL playing career in 2002-03 as a member of the Chicago Bears where he was drafted in the third round.  In 2003-04 he was a member of the Cleveland Browns where he started five of sixteen games. In 2005 he played for the  New York Jets.

 Williams graduated from Tuskegee University with a degree in a Business Management.

 "I am excited to be here at GSC. We have a lot of talent returning this season and I think that with the great success the defensive backs had last year  we're looking to have a great year,"  stated Williams. Â

 He will coach the Defensive Backs with the Pioneers.

Michael Elder enters his first year on the sidelines for the Pioneer football team as the Defensive Quality Control Coach while also working with the defensive backs. Â
Elder is a native of Boca Raton, Florida where he attended Highlands Christian High School. There he was a four-year letterman of the football team and Defensive MVP his senior season.

After high school he attended Grove City College where he was a member of the football team throughout his college career. At Grove City he was a one-year letter winner and a three-year All-Conference and All-Academic team member.

Elder graduated from Grove City College in May 2017 with a degree in Business Management. In the spring of 2017 he was an intern with the Slippery Rock University Football team.

He resides in Glenville.

Anton McCallum comes to Glenville State as the Offensive Quality Control Coach and will also work with wide receivers.
 McCallum, a native of Alexandria, Virginia, attended Hayfield High School where he was a four-year starter on the football  team in addition to playing  basketball and being a member of the  track & field team.

 After high school he attended West Liberty University where he was a four-year member of the football team and was a  three time All-Conference  player.
Â
 He graduated from West Liberty with a Health and Physical Education degree and a minor in Coaching Philosophy.

 "This is a wonderful opportunity and I am excited to get started at GSC," he said.
