Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State women's soccer team hosted the Hilltoppers of West Liberty University on Thursday night in what was just their second home contest of the season.
West Liberty would strike first as Cati Butler scored on an unassisted goal at the 39:59 minute mark of the first period as they took a 1-0 lead. The Hilltoppers would eventually take that lead into halftime.
Glenville State would eventually tie it up at 1-1 at the 75:56 minute mark in the second as
Brie Webb scored on an assist from
Julia Lesko. The game would end in a 1-1 tie.
West Liberty was very aggressive in the first half as they had three shots to the Lady Pioneers two. However in the second half GSC turned up the heat as they outshot the Hilltoppers four to one.
In the game West Liberty finished with four shots with two on goal while Glenville State finished the contest with six shots and four on goal.

Alyssa Banks had one save for GSC while Olivia Montgomery had three saves for the Hilltoppers.
Glenville State (0-2-3) will return to action this Sunday, September 24
th as they travel to Buckhannon, West Virginia to take on the Bobcats of West Virginia Wesleyan.
