Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Lady Pioneers scored 60 second half points as they earned their 16
th straight victory and 21
st straight at home as they defeated the Bobcats of West Virginia Wesleyan 92-59.

Glenville State (17-1, 12-0) scored 28 second-chance points while West Virginia Wesleyan (5-13, 3-9) scored just 10 second-chance points and committed 32 turnovers.

The Lady Pioneers began the game on a 5-0 run with a 15-foot jumper from
Paris McLeod. However, the Bobcats would answer with an 8-0 run placing them in front 8-7. GSC, able to bounce back, created a five point lead going into the second quarter 18-13.

WV Wesleyan started the second quarter on a 4-0 run, bringing the score within one until a three-point bucket from
Taylor Parker broke the Bobcats momentum.

After a 7-3 run by GSC, they would finish the half with a three-pointer from
Julie Bishop to end it with just a four point lead, 32-28 at the half.

The Lady Pioneers started off hot in the third quarter including a pair of three-pointers from senior guards Kristen DesRocher and
Tayana Stewart.

Then, a three-pointer from junior
Emily Stoller, would give GSC their first double digit lead of the game 44-33. The Lady Pioneers outscored the Bobcats 32-15 in the quarter. Later,
Paris McLeod would convert a three-point play with under two minutes, to propel GSC into the fourth with a 21 point lead 64-43.

In the fourth, GSC would go up by as many as 35 and outscore the Bobcats 28-16 as they went on to claim the 92-59 victory.

Glenville State shot 32 percent from the floor but just 25 percent from deep while WV Wesleyan shot 33 percent from the floor and 33 percent from deep. The Lady Pioneers defense forced the Bobcats into 32 turnovers and had 19 steals on the day.

Paris McLeod led all scorers with 20 points, eight rebounds and six steals.
Courtney Davis registered a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Senior
Erika Toney grabbed a game high 12 rebounds while
Julie Bishop registered 14 points for GSC in the victory.

The Bobcats had just one player in double figured led by Abi Gabauer with 10 points and five rebounds.

Glenville State (17-1, 12-0) will host the Mountain Lions of Concord University this Wednesday, January 24
th at 5:30 p.m. from inside the Waco Center.
