Athens, W.Va. – The GSC Lady Pioneer soccer team fell to the Concord University Mountain Lions on Sunday afternoon, 8-0.
Glenville State (0-16, 0-12) registered just one shot in the contest while Concord (9-4-2, 7-3-1) recorded 48 total shots.
The Mountain Lions scored three goals in the first half as they took the 3-0 lead into halftime.
GSC only shot in the game came in the first period.
In the second, it was more of the Mountain Lions as they added five more goals with three of them by Sarah Hill as they went on to defeat the Lady Pioneers, 8-0.
Concord had six corner kicks in the contest while GSC did not record one.
Danielle Bowling had the only shot for GSC while goalie
Hannah Beaty finished with 12 saves. Fellow goalkeeper
Morgan Smailes had six saves in the contest.
Pilar Elias had two goals on 10 shots while Sarah Hill scored three goals on four shots. CU's goalkeeper Katie Maher had a save for the Mountain Lions.
Glenville State (0-16, 0-12) will return to action this Wednesday, October 24
th when they travel to West Liberty for a 2 p.m. matchup with the Hilltoppers.
