Glenville, W.Va. – Glenville State Head Football Coach Eric Smith and his staff are pleased to announce their 2018 recruiting class. The Pioneers signed 19 players on the offensive side of the ball and 23 players on the defensive side, for a total of 42 players thus far.

The largest classes came on the defensive side of the ball with nine defensive lineman and nine defensive backs signed. The Pioneers also signed nine wide receivers.

"This recruiting class, without a doubt is one for the record books at Glenville State College and it's just the start of the 2018 class! We will continue to recruit until all our needs are filled.  I've been here for eight years, and we've never signed the quality and quantity on day one like we did Wednesday," stated GSC Head Coach Eric Smith. This was a group effort made possible with our coaching staff, players, and administration. Our coaches are like none I've ever been around, they continue to burn the midnight oil and it's paying dividends for this program. We continue to get better each and every day, and we definitely got better with these 42 young men."
