Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Lady Pioneer acrobatics and tumbling team performed well on Friday night in a tri-meet with Converse College and Georgetown College in their first meet of the 2018 season. The tri-meet would end up being just a dual meet between GSC and Converse.
Glenville State would perform well in compulsory event as they scored a 6.50 in the acro heat, 8.90 in the pyramid heat, 9.60 in the toss heat, and 6.10 in the tumbling heat however the Lady Pioneers fell to Converse in the compulsory 31.10 to 31.20.
Again the Lady Pioneers had a nice showing in the Acro event scoring a 8.80, 9.35, and 6.10 but again fell short to Converse College 24.25 to 25.50.
Glenville State would take the pyramid event, 27.80 to 26.60. The Lady Pioneers fell in heat one 8.90 to 9.60 but then took heat two, 9.50 to 7.40 and fell in heat three 9.40 to 9.60.
The toss event would end up being close, but GSC ended up falling 27.00 to 27.10 after the three heats.
Converse also won the tumbling event 50.300 to GSC's 48.400 with just the team event remaining.
The Lady Pioneers would score an 88.89 in the team event however Converse scored a 96.07 as they ended up taking the meet 256.770 to GSC's 247.440 and Georgetown College finished with a score of 107.675.
Glenville State's next meet will take place on Tuesday, February 27
th as they host Adrian College in the first home meet of the 2018 season for the Lady Pioneers.
