Greeneville, Tenn. – The GSC Lady Pioneer softball dropped both games on the road in a double-header against Tusculum College Sunday.

In game one, GSC would fall 8-0 in a shortened five-inning game.
Celina Maberto got the loss on the mound. In 1.1 innings of work, she surrendered six runs on nine hits.
Kahla Von Bergen came in relief to pitch the remainder of the game. Overall, GSC gave up eight runs on 14 hits.

From the plate, GSC tallied just three hits in 18 plate appearances.
Catherine Pelfrey,
Ally Brown, and
Cassidy Taylor recorded one hit each.

Game two belonged to Tusculum from the start as the beat GSC, 11-3 in five innings.
Ally Brown would earn the loss in this game as she gave up 11 hits and nine runs in 3.1 innings of work.
Kahla Von Bergen would come in as relief to throw 1.1 innings, give up four hits, and two runs.

Tusculum would get out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Tusculum would add another run in the bottom of the second. In the top of the third, GSC was able to string together a few hits and score three runs on an RBI base hits by
Ally Brown and
Cassidy Taylor. Brown's single scored
Kim Ellis, while Taylor's single scored Brown and
Paranda Uber.

Tusculum, however, would answer back with three runs of their own in the bottom of the third inning to take a 6-3 lead. Tusculum was again able to push three runners across in the bottom of the fourth inning as they moved out to a 9-3 lead. The rest of the game was all Tusculum as they went on to score two more runs in the bottom of the fifth to end the game at 11-3.

th against Ohio Valley University in Myrtle Beach, SC.
