Glenville, W.Va. – The GSC Acrobatics & Tumbling team defeated the Adrian College Bulldogs in their season opener at the Waco Center, 253.885 to 218.415.

Glenville State started fast as they took all four heats in the compulsory event with a high score in the toss, scoring a 9.35 to Adrian's 8.20 as the Lady Pioneers took compulsory by a final of 33.20 to 27.15.

GSC then took all three heats in the acro event as they scored a 9.50 in heat one, a 9.05 in heat two, and an 8.65 in the third heat for a total of 27.20. The Bulldogs scored an 8.1 in heat one, a 7.20 in heat two, and an 8.35 in the third and final heat for a total of 23.65.

Glenville State's scored a total of 60.40 after two events while Adrian's total was 50.80.

In the last event for halftime, the pyramid event the Lady Pioneers won the event with scores of 9.45, 9.15, and 9.45 for a total of 28.05. The Bulldogs scored a 9.20, 7.60, and an 8.65 in the pyramid event for a total of 25.45.

Glenville State led Adrian at halftime 88.45 to 76.25.

The Lady Pioneers came out after halftime and took all three heats in the toss event, 26.30 to Adrian's 23.15 as they led the Bulldogs 114.75 to 99.40.

In the tumbling event, GSC's Sarah DiSpaltro scored a 9.225 in the aerial while Jackie Deary scored an 8.40 in the ele heat, and Brianna D'Angelo scored a 9.35 in the open. The Lady Pioneer went on to win all six events in tumbling, scoring a total of 49.225 to Adrian's 40.275.

In the final event of the night, the team event Glenville State scored an 89.91 while Adrian scored a 78.74 as the Lady Pioneers defeated the Bulldogs, 253.885 to 218.415.

Glenville State (2-1) will return to action on Saturday, March 17^th as they travel to Philippi, W. Va. for a 3:30 p.m. meet with the Alderson Broaddus Battlers.
