Glenville, W.Va. – Pioneer Athletics, along with the coaching staff and Glenville State College athletic administration, is very excited to announce a month-long campaign designed to help propel Glenville State Athletics into the 2018-19 academic year.
Â
Working with the crowdfunding company, Everyday Hero, the Pioneer teams now have a streamlined forum for fans to support their favorite team or teams that don the Blue and White.
Â
This campaign is set to launch today, Wednesday, April 18, 2018, and will remain active through May 18, 2018. The funds raised from these individual projects will address specific program needs such as scholarships and equipment.
Â
"The need to support athletics is clear and convincing in terms of the return on investment for athlete and program success," stated President Tracy Pellett. "Being sure our athletes are using the best equipment and supplies and have additional scholarship dollars is critical in enhancing our quality programs and in garnering wins. I hope everyone will support their favorite sports and athletes through this end-of-the-year campaign."
Â
All 15 GSC Athletic teams have worked together to make this possible. Each team also has their own page to help raise monies.
Â
"We are now asking for another favor from the best fans in the country. With losing nine key seniors to graduation, we need to do what we can to keep this program's time honored tradition alive. In order to continue to play the fast-paced style of play, we call on you for donations," stated GSC Head Women's Basketball Coach
Kim Stephens.
