GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State athletes
Kylie Burdick,
Natalie Barr and
Will Jackson have been selected GoMart Pioneers of the Week, the GSU Athletic Department announced.
Burdick went (2-0) on the weekend for Pioneer Softball, picking up two complete games against West Virginia State and Charleston, including a shutout versus defending MEC Champion UC. She gave up just seven hits, one earned run, one walk and struck out nine batters over the two games.
Barr, who ran her first 10k ever at the 49er Classic, won the race and set the school record with a time of 36.06. Barr defeated six Division I runners and four MEC foes en route to the win and program record.
Jackson set the school record that stood for 20 years in the discus throw at the 49er Classic, notching a 45.67m heave to earn an eighth-place finish out of 48 throwers.
