A&T Finishes Regular Season with Good Performance at FSU

Fairmont, W.Va. – The GSC Acrobatics & Tumbling team closed out the regular season with a good showing at Fairmont State University on Saturday despite falling to the Fighting Falcons, 263.355 to 253.695.

Glenville State fell in the opening event by a couple of points to Fairmont State, the compulsory event, 37.75 to 34.80.

Again FSU would defeat GSC in the acro event 29.30 to 27.30 despite scoring a 9.15 in the heat 1 (5 element) and a 9.35 in heat 3 (7 element).

The Lady Pioneers outscored the Fighting Falcons in heat 2 (synchronized) of the pyramid event 9.75 to 9.65 and also outscored them in heat 3 (open) 9.90 to 9.70. However, GSC ended up falling in the pyramid event 29.10 to 28.70.

GSC went into halftime trailing FSU 96.15 to 90.80.

Glenville State started the second half by winning the toss event 26.45 to 26.15.

In the tumbling event FSU would outscore GSC 49.575 to 49.475 with just one event remaining, the team event.

In the team event Glenville State scored an 86.97 while Fairmont State scored a 91.48 as the Fighting Falcons defeated the Lady Pioneers 263.355 to 253.695.
