Charleston, W.Va. – The GSC Lady Pioneer soccer team fell to the University of Charleston Golden Eagles on Sunday, 5-0. GSC is still looking for their first official goal in school history and on the season.
Glenville State (0-6-0, 0-3-0) had just three shots in the contest while Charleston (3-4-0, 2-1-0) tallied 47 total shots.
The Golden Eagles took an early 1-0 lead at the 14:13 minute mark when Keira Hill scored off of an assist from Alana Mikulis. UC then added another goal, by Claire Couturier, at the 26:56 as they held a 2-0 lead over the Lady Pioneers at halftime.
In the second half, all three shot attempts by GSC would come in the period. However they all came up short as the Golden Eagles added three more goals as the Lady Pioneers fell to UC, 5-0.
Glenville State had just one corner kick attempt in the game while Charleston had nine total in the contest.

Brie Webb, and
Julia Lesko all had a shot in the game. Goalies,
Hannah Beaty had nine saves and allowed two goals while
Alyssa Banks finished with eight saves and gave up three goals.
UC had five different players score in the game. Claire Couturier had a goal as she had four shots on the day. Keira Hill also scored a goal as she had six shots.
Glenville State (0-6-0, 0-3-0) will return to action on Wednesday, September 19
th when they travel to Fairmont State University for a 7 p.m. matchup with the Fighting Falcons.
