Charleston, W.Va. – On Friday evening the GSC volleyball team went on the road and dropped a conference game to the University of Charleston, 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-22).

Glenville State (5-7, 1-3 MEC) finished with a total of 29 kills on 114 attacks while committing 21 errors. UC (8-9, 4-0 MEC) recorded 45 kills on 104 attacks and committed just 13 errors.

The Lady Pioneers did not record a service ace on the night while the Golden Eagles had three. GSC recorded three team blocks while UC had six team blocks.

Bailey Brawner had 10 kills to lead the Lady Pioneers while also finishing with eight digs. Jazaray Clark-Casto had eight kills while Skylar Mace finished with five kills.

Ai Miyazaki had a team high 11 digs while Madison Gargus finished with 22 assists.

UC was led by Carly Granger as she recorded 14 kills. Jessica Sunnenberg chipped in with eight kills. Briauna Pauley had nine digs to lead the Golden Eagles.

Chloe Massaro finished with 20 assists while Amy Hu recorded 15 assists.

Glenville State (5-7, 1-3 MEC) will take on the Yellow Jackets of West Virginia State on the road tomorrow Saturday, September 29^th at 1 p.m.
