Shepherdstown, W.Va. –On Wednesday afternoon the GSC Lady Pioneer women's soccer team went on the road and fell to the Shepherd University Rams, 4-0.
Glenville State (0-2-0) finished the contest with just five total shots on goal while Shepherd (1-2-0) tallied 29 total shots.
The Rams first and only goal in the first half came at the 6:35 mark when Katherine Eddy scored off of an assist by Alyssa Lester as they went up, 1-0.
GSC had two chances to tie it up in the first but ended up heading into the break tailing Shepherd, 1-0.
In the second half, the Rams added to their lead at the 62:23 minute mark off of a penalty kick from Braden Prickett as GSC now trailed 2-0.
Shepherd then added their third goal at the 72:09 mark and their fourth at the 75:38 minute mark as the Lady Pioneers fell, 4-0.

Kacey Evans had two shots on goal for the Lady Pioneers while
Brittany Maphis,
Danielle Bowling, and
Tobi Short each had one.
Goalie,
Hannah Beaty gave up one goal and finished with eight saves while
Morgan Smailes allowed three goals and had six saves.
​​​​​​​Glenville State (0-2-0) will return to action this weekend as they travel to the state of Florida. On Friday, September 7
th they will take on Johnson & Wales College at 3 p.m. and then on Sunday, September 9
th they will battle Palm Beach Atlantic at 6 p.m.
