Glenville, W.Va. – GSC Women's Soccer returns to the pitch Sunday, November 3
rd at 2pm against the Falcons of Notre Dame College.
The Lady Pioneers come into the match at 3-12 after a 1-0 loss against West Liberty, October 30
th. The Blue and White have been able to maintain strong defense throughout the season, goal keeper
Morgan Smailes leads second in the MEC in saves per game averaging seven and tenth in shutouts per game at one.
Leighana Weaver leads the Blue and White with five goals on the year and 29 shots with 19 on target.
Following Weaver is
Julia Lesko with one goal and two assists on the year. Lesko has created 17 total shots with eight on goal.
Carey Midkiff and
Miki Abe have posted 14 and 13 shots on the year with an assist by Abe.
The Falcons of Notre Dame come into the match at 7-4-4 on the year and 6-3-3 in conference play leads second in the Northern Division. In the last match up between GSC and NDC, the Falcons came out on top 9-0.
