Glenville, W.Va. – Glenville State (3-2) (1-0) hit their second century mark of the season becoming victorious over the Yellow Jackets of West Virginia State (1-3) (0-1) in the first conference matchup.
Abby Stoller lead the Lady Pioneers with 18 points, eight rebounds and five assists, while also going 2-for-2 from the line.

Mashayla Cecil and
Lucille Westfall would tie the game early at eight all with 4:53 left in the first. Westfall connected with Afi to break the tie as
Emily Stoller would add a layup to lead to 12-8.
The Blue and White would make separation gaining their first ten-point lead with baskets behind the arc from
Ty Armstrong and lay up from
Abby Stoller to lead 27-16 with 1:23 left in the first.
Taychaun Hubbard and
Zakiyah Winfield added to the scoring to close out the quarter with a 32-19 lead.
Westfall started the scoring with a layup that sparked a 9-3 run to start the quarter. After a three pointer by WVSU,
Emily Stoller answered at the other end with a shot from behind the line to push their lead to 47-28 with 5:42 left in the half.
Afi posted three more buckets to keep the Lady Pioneers in far distance of the Yellow Jackets.
Taychaun Hubbard and Re'Shawna Stone would add a three pointer and layup to end their 27 lead to 62-35.
Westfall and Cecil knocked down another five points at the end of the half to send the Lady Pioneers into the locker room leading 73-45.
Glenville State shot 50% from the field with 40 total rebounds where as West Virginia State 38% successful with just 19 rebounds. Both teams would have seven steals.
Abby Stoller would start the third quarter scoring the first five with teammate Hubbard going two-for-two at the line opening the third on a 7-0 run maintaining their 45-point lead at 80-45.
Both teams would trade baskets at 14 a piece with buckets by Stone, Hubbard and
Victoria Brown controlling the game at 96-64 with under three minutes remaining.
Victoria Brown was fouled to earn two shots from the line to hit the century mark. The third would end as the Lady Pioneers lead 105-69.
Ty Armstrong started the fourth with five points, hitting the net from deep while adding a layup.
The Yellow Jackets went on a 13-6 run with 4:48 left in the game as WVSU still trailed 116-86.
Abby Stoller ended the run with a layup and free throw.
The Blue and White would be victorious as they would take the game 127-91.
Glenville State shot 48% from the field going just 15-for-41 from deep. The Lady Pioneers forced 45 turnovers scoring 33 second chance points with 57 points from the paint.
The Yellow Jackets shot 42% with 41% from deep, with 35 bench points and only 16 turnovers.
Hubbard scored 17 points while pacing 20 minutes with nine rebounds and going 4-for-for from the free throw line.
Lucille Westfall and
Zakiyah Winfield totaled nine rebounds while scoring 14 and 13 points respectively. Winfield lead the Lady Pioneers with six assists.
Glenville State will hit the road Tuesday, November 26
th to face off against the Golden Eagles of University of Charleston at 5:30pm.
