Volleyball Home Stand Set to Open Competitive Weekend

Glenville, W.Va. – The Lady Pioneers earned their first MEC win Saturday November 2nd against the Bobcats of West Virginia Wesleyan College in three straight sets. The Lady Pioneers are looking to continue with momentum into Friday's matchup against West Virginia State in the Waco Center at 7pm.
 
The Blue and White improved their season to 4-20 and 1-10 in conference with five games left on the year.
 
The Yellow Jackets come into the match at 16-12 on the year and placing fourth overall in the MEC. Earlier on the year, the Lady Pioneers fell to WVSU in three straight sets.
 
The Blue and White will have a quick turn around and square off against University Charleston Saturday November 9th at 1pm. The Golden Eagles sit at 8-18 on the year, earlier this season UC swept GSC in three straight sets.
 
Skylar Mace and Karlei Shaver continue to lead second and third in the MEC in kills per set averaging 3.41 and 3.36, respectively.
 
Sophie Shifferly leads fourth in assists at 524 and averages 9.36 per set.
