Clarion, Pa.. — The Don Hansen Football Gazette All-Region Committee has released the 2019 NCAA Division II All-Super Region 1 squad today (December 27).

The Glenville State Pioneers had three players earn Hansen All-Region honors in Dominic Cizauskas, Delonte Hood, and Justin Watts. 

Cizauskas, a linebacker,  and Hood, a cornerback, both earned First Team Defensive Honors while Watts was named to the Second Team Offense as a place kicker and earned Third Team Defense as a punter. 

Dominic, who was named the  Defensive Player of the Year honors in the MEC racked up 120 tackles on the season. He ranked third in the league in solo tackles (67), and also ranked among the league leaders in tackles for a loss (14.0), interceptions (4) and passes defended (14) from his linebacker position. He also returned two interceptions for touchdowns and was a two-time MEC Defensive Player of the Week in 2019. He was also named to the D2CCA All-Super Region 1 Football First Team earlier in the year.

Delonte, who earned MEC First Team Defensive honors this season, led the MEC in interceptions with eight on the year. He racked up a total of 44 tackles while having 13 pass breakups. Nationally, Hood ranked third in passes defended (1.9) and fourth in interceptions per games (0.7). Hood also was named to the D2CCA All-Super Region 1 Football First Team back on December 6th. 

Justin, who also earned MEC First Team honors as a place kicker/punter also received Hansen All-Region honors.  Watts, made 21-out-of-28 field goals and led the Pioneers in scoring with 88 points. He also had 59 total punts for 2,427 yards an average punt of 41.14. 

The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988.  Don Hansen's FB Gazette began selecting Division II All-Region squads in 2003.

The first-and second-team All-Region selections advance to a national ballot from which the 2019 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America team will be named in early January.

Super Region 1 is compiled of universities from four conferences including the PSAC, MEC, NE10 and the GMAC. A total of 33 teams and 142 players are represented on this team.
