Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Lady Pioneer Acrobatics & Tumbling team stayed perfect on the season Sunday as they defeated the West Liberty University Hilltoppers, 254.85-233.585.
 
Glenville State (3-0) started the afternoon taking three of the four heats in the compulsory event as they took a 34.95-30.30 lead after the event.
 
The Lady Pioneers continued to their dominance in the acro event as they took two of the three heats while scoring a 9.1 in heat one and heat two for a total of 27.20 to WLU's 25.90. Running total after the two events saw GSC lead, 62.15 to 56.20.
 
The last event before halftime, the pyramid event, saw the Lady Pioneers take it 28.30 to 26.1. The highest score for GSC in the event was in heat three as they scored a 9.75 while the Hilltoppers highest came in heat one scoring a 9.6.
 
Glenville State headed into halftime leading West Liberty, 90.45-82.30.
 
Glenville State came out after the break and took the toss event as they scored a 26.95 to 24.20 highlighted by a high score in heat three with a 9.35. Running total heading into the tumbling event was GSC 117.40 to WLU 106.50.
 
The Lady Pioneers also won the tumbling event, 50.9-46.375. Brianna D'Angelo paced GSC as she scored a 9.525 in the aerial heat and then Jenae Shar scored a 9.05 in the six element. Glenville State held a lead over West Liberty heading into the final event, the team event, 168.3-152.875.
 
Glenville State went on to win the team event 86.55-80.71 as the Lady Pioneers improved to 3-0 on the year defeating the Hilltoppers, 254.85-233.585.

The Lady Pioneers next meet will be Wednesday, March 20th when they travel to Fairmont State University for a 6 p.m. matchup with the Fighting Falcons.
