Glenville, W.Va. – On Friday evening the Glenville State Lady Pioneer Acrobatics & Tumbling team defeated the Senators of Davis & Elkins College, 259.87-214.625.

 It was Senior night for seven Lady Pioneers, as they preformed for the last time inside of the Waco Center.

GSC got off to a quick start as they took the compulsory event 34.70 to 25.35 and proceeded to win the acro event 29.15 to 22.15 Â leading early, 63.85 to 47.50.

The Lady Pioneers then took the pyramid event  scoring a 9.95 in heat one, a 9.80 in heat two, and a 9.90 in heat three taking it 29.65 to 27.70

Heading into halftime Glenville State led 93.50 to D&E's 75.20.

Right after the break GSC came out and won the toss event, 27.70 to 24.15. The Lady Pioneers high score came in heat three (open) as they scored a 9.40 while Davis & Elkins high score came in heat one (450 salto) scoring an 8.45.

In the tumbling event GSC's two highest scores came in the open pass as
Brianna D'Angelo scored a 9.625 while
Sarah DiSpaltro scored a 9.200 in the aerial pass. The Lady Pioneers took the tumbling event 50.700 over D&E's 42.625.
In the final event, the team event GSC scored an 87.97 while D&E finished with a 72.65. The Lady Pioneers picked up their fifth win of the season defeating the Senators, 259.870 to 214.625.
Glenville State (5-1) will now prepare for the Mountain East Conference Championship on April 12th and 13th at Fairmont State University. The Lady Pioneers look to step into the championship at the No. 2 seed.
