Glenville, W.Va. –
Ty Armstrong scored a game-high 31 points in a 30 point at home over the Senators of Davis & Elkins.
Glenville State (22-4, 18-2 MEC) had five players in double figures while also having 11 different players record a point.
How It Happened
First Quarter:
Ty Armstrong got the scoring started for the Lady Pioneers at the 9:20 minute mark with a jumper in the lane. However, D&E then 9-0 run as they took a 9-2 lead with 7:46 left in the quarter.
Eventually the Senators continued to run with GSC and held a five point lead at end of one, 22-17.
Second Quarter:
In the second quarter the Lady Pioneers really turned it on and made separation. Glenville State then went on a big run out scoring D&E 30 to 11 as they took a 47-33 lead with just 2:00 minutes to play until the half.
The Lady Pioneers managed to take a 15 point lead into the break at 55-40.
Third Quarter:
GSC keep up the pace of play in the third as they outscored the Senators by two, 27-25, as the Lady Pioneers took an 85-62 lead into the fourth.
Fourth Quarter:
Emily Stoller started the fourth with three free-throws and then and old fashioned three-point play by
Zakiyah Winfield and GSC never looked back as they raced to a 118-88 victory.

Glenville State shot 51% from the floor and 43% from deep going 17-for-39. Davis & Elkins shot 44% from the field and 27% from behind the arc.
The Lady Pioneers forced D&E into 19 turnovers and converted them into 26 points. GSC also had an advantage in fast-break points outscoring the Senators 23-10.
Ty Armstrong paced GSC with a game-high and season-high 31 points as she went 12-for-22 from the field.
Emily Stoller netted 24 points while pulling down five rebounds.
Zakiyah Winfield finished the game with 17 points while Re'Shawna Stone had 14 points.
Abby Stoller also scored in double figures with 11 points and six rebounds.
D&E (7-19, 6-14) was led by Peyton Mohler as she scored 16 points.
