Glenville, W.Va. – After a nail biting season opener victory against West Virginia State, the Pioneers will host University of Charleston in the Waco Center, Sunday January 10 at 4:00pm.

GSC Hoops opened the season 1-0 against West Virginia State 117-114, where
Hegel Augustin set a new career record 40 points and leads the MEC in offensive scoring.
The Golden Eagles of University Charleston (0-1), picked third in the MEC Preseason Poll fell to Concord 64-62 in their opening contest.
GSC and UC last met February 26
th in the Waco Center where the Pioneers fell 71-70.
The Waco Center has not held a season contest since their last match due to Covid-19 where the Pioneers, a season ago finished 9-7 at home.
Pioneer Highlights
Glenville State led the Mountain East in Offensive Scoring with 117 points and 20 Assists and second in Offensive Rebounds with 48 after their first competition.
Along with Augustin,
Nick Edwards also leads the conference in Assists, collecting eight on the season and 16
th in rebounds.
Tommy Williams and
John Williams both sit fifth in the MEC as Tommy tallied a 4.0 Assist/Turnover Ratio and John accrued 21 points.
Coming Up
The Pioneers will continue their home stretch, facing off against Davis & Elkins College, Wednesday, January 13
th at 7:30pm. At this time a no spectator policy will be followed at each of the 12 Mountain East Conference institutions. The league's Board of Directors will evaluate the no spectator policy no earlier than January 19, 2021.
