GLENVILLE – Coach Kim Stephens' Glenville State Lady Pioneer squad has gotten off to a solid start to their 2022 season, opening up 4-0, and posting a key league win over the University of Charleston last Tuesday. They swing back into action Monday night, hosting the University of Pitt-Johnstown.
UPJ enters the contest at 2-2. The two teams do have one common opponent on the ledger; Bloomsburg University. GSC defeated BU in their opener, 81-79. UPJ defeated the Huskies last week as well, 51-46.
Glenville has four players currently averaging in double figures; Re'Shawna Stone (19.5), Zakiyah Winfield (17.7), Abby Stoller (11.3), and Mashayla Cecil (10.0). Stone also leads the team in several other categories; assists (11), steals (11), and three-pointers made (10). Stoller leads the team in rebounding at 8.8 rebounds per game.
Tip-off is set for 5:30 in the Waco Center.
