GLENVILLE – Glenville's Nationally ranked women's basketball team is back in action on Saturday, traveling to neighboring Alderson Broaddus University.
Currently ranked #9 in the coaches poll, Coach Kim Stephens' squad is currently 6-0 overall, and 2-0 in the Mountain East Conference. They are coming off an impressive 116-51 victory over Notre Dame on Tuesday night. Six different Lady Pioneers scored in double figures in that contest.
Alderson Broaddus enters the game with an overall mark of 3-3, and 1-2 in the Mountain East Conference. Their conference win was an exciting 98-94 overtime win over Wheeling.
Re'Shawna Stone leads the Lady Pioneers and the MEC with averaging 18.2 points per game. Teammate Zakiyah Winfield is fifth in the league at 17.3 ppg. Abby Stoller leads the squad in rebounding at 9.5 rpg, while Dazha Congleton leads the squad in assists at 4.2 apg.
Tip-off is set for 2:00 at AB's Rex Pyles Arena.
