#8 Lady Pioneers Travel to Frostburg State

Glenville State's nationally ranked Women's Basketball team is back in action this Wednesday night, traveling to Frostburg State for another Mountain East Conference road game. Currently ranked #8 in the D-II Coaches' Poll, the Lady Pioneers have won their last two games by a combined 133 points. Offensively, GSC put up 249 points in their last two contests.

Coach Kim Stephens' squad enters the game a perfect 7-0 overall, and 3-0 in the MEC. Frostburg enters the game 2-6 overall, and 1-3 in the MEC. They played the University of Charleston Saturday very strong, and held a 37-35 halftime lead over the Golden Eagles. Despite losing 81-63, it is clear that the FSU program is improving.

Abby Stoller leads GSC in rebounding at 8.7 rpg.  Dazha Congleton is tied with Winfield in assists per game with 3.2, Winfield also leads the team in steals per game at 2.2.

GSC leads the league in team scoring at 99.7 points per game, while Frostburg leads the league in team scoring defense, allowing only 64.1 ppg.

Tip-off is set for 5:30 in Frostburg's Bobcat Arena.
