Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State A&T season is set to get underway this Friday (Feb. 26) when they host the Senators of Davis & Elkins College at 6pm from inside the Waco Center.

The Lady Pioneers were picked preseason third in the MEC Coaches Poll while the Senators were tabbed to finish one spot behind GSC in fourth.

Last season before COVID halted the season Glenville State was 0-3 and their last competition was on March 15, 2020 as they fell to D&E, 232.03 – 241.58.

However, Glenville State is under the director of new head coach Courtney Stack who came to GSC in the fall after spending two seasons with the Urbana Blue Knights.

Glenville State returns an experienced group of young ladies. Several returns to keep an eye on are; Hannah Cunningham, Kylee Williams, Taylor Corey, Angela Perez, Cali Hayes, and Claire Amos.  While some newcomers to watch for are Abigail Swinderman, Abigial McDermott, and Mia-Meshell Jenkins to name a few.

Davis & Elkins is led by new head coach Mariah Ack who took over the program in December 2020.

The Senators are led by Deanna Blood, Portia Durden, Aubrey Perry, and Cheyenna Jones..
