Charleston, W.Va. – The Glenville State Lady Pioneer (0-1) women's soccer team fell to the University of Charleston Golden Eagles (1-0) on Friday evening, 4-0.
How It Happened
First Half
The Golden Eagles struck first at the 35:57-minute mark when Kassandra Demps scored on an assist by Shannon Henson as they led 1-0.
GSC then had a shot attempt from
Shyanne Martin at the 40:04 mark but it came up short and UC would capitalize at the 41:02-minute mark when Rachel Osborne scored on an assist from Katy O'Reilly as they took a 2-0 lead into the half.
Second Half Â
UC added another goal, this one at the 66:51-minute mark, as Kate Eddy scored on an assist from Shannon Henson as they held a 3-0 lead.
The final goal of the contest came from the Golden Eagles at the 78:48 as Alex Speight scored as GSC fell 4-0.

Glenville State had just one shot in the contest while UC tallied 17 shots.
The Golden Eagles tallied 10 corner kicks while the Lady Pioneers had two.
