Glenville, W.Va. – The GSC Acrobatics & Tumbling (1-2) team fell to the West Liberty University Hilltoppers (3-0) on Senior Night, Thursday from inside the Waco Center, 254.240 – 266.395.
 
How It Happened
 
Early in the match, WLU took all four heats in the compulsory event as they held a slight37.150 - 35.550 lead over GSC.
 
In the second event, GSC's highest score came in Heat 3, 7 Element scoring a 9.45 however the Hilltoppers took all three Heats in the Acro event, 28.300-26.550.
 
In the Pyramid, the Blue and White has two scores of 9.4 or better though not enough as the Hilltoppers took the event 29.600 to 27.750. Heading into half time, West Liberty held a 95.050 running total to 89.850 lead.
 
Then taking Heat 2 (synchronized) from West Liberty, GSC scored 8.70 - 8.60 in the toss event where as the Hilltoppers took the next two heats winning the toss event, 26.900 to 26.100. Running Total GSC 115.950 WLU 121.950
 
In the tumbling portion, Mia-Meshell Jenkins won an event scoring an 8.825 in Heat 5 (6 Element). Though the Hilltoppers pulled through winning the other five events while also taking the tumbling Event 52.075-48.100
 
In the team event, West Liberty would defeat the Pioneers 92.370-90.190 as the Hilltoppers would end the night 266.395-254.240.

GSC returns to action on Saturday, March 27 when they travel to Frostburg State University and will take on the Bobcats at 1pm.
