Glenville, W.Va. – Holding a 1-1 season record, the Pioneers are gearing up to host West Liberty on Senior Day Thursday March 18 at 6:00pm in the Waco Center.

Glenville State recently fell to Fairmont State 236.610-257.430. In the meet, the Blue and White took one of the three heats in the Acro event taking the 7 element 9.45 to 7.7. Then in Element 6 of the Tumbling Portion, the Pioneers scored 8.6 to 8.125.
However, Glenville State would fall shy in the team Tumbling Portion 257.430 – 236.610.
West Liberty comes into the match with a 2-0 record with a recent 253.445 – 244.135 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan. The Hilltoppers in the Tumbling Event highlighted a school-record 8.10 in the Quad Pass heat and closed out the night with an 86.17-84.41 win in the Team Event. However, WLU's match against Frostburg State on March 13 was recently postposed and have not competed since March 8.

The Pioneers will honor four seniors prior to competing on Thursday;
Cali Hayes, a native of Harrisville, W.Va. was a four-year member of GSC's Acrobatics & Tumbling team. Along with Hayes is
Claire Amos also a four-year member out of Williamstown, W.Va. as both began their journey at Glenville State in 2017.
Taylor Corey, a Red-Shirt Senior from Kearneysville, W.Va. along with Hayes and Amos, won the Open Pyramid at the National Championship in 2018.
Nicole Hansen a distant native out of Bremerton, WA was a three-year member of GSC's A&T program, here in Glenville, the senior class all competed at the National Tournament in 2019 along with finishing second in the inaugural MEC Acrobatics and Tumbling Championship.
