A&T Earns Second Win on the Road

Glenville, W.Va. –  The Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling (2-2) team picked up their second win of the season on the road Saturday, defeating the Bobcats of Frostburg State University (0-2), 235.990 to 153.225.

How It Happened

Glenville State started the meet by winning the compulsory event as they outscored the Bobcats, 29.350 to 23.950. GSC's highest score came in second heat as they scored a 9.30.

However, Frostburg State came right back and took the acro event from the Pioneers, 26.70 to 26.40. But the Pioneers still held the lead 56.050 to 50.650.

The Bobcats then took the pyramid event, 27.85 to 27.75. GSC's highest score came in the heat 4, with a 9.90 while FSU's highest came in heat 1 as they posted a 9.50 score. Again, GSC still held the slight advantage going into the half, 83.800 to 78.500.

Coming out of the break, Frostburg took the toss event scoring a 25.70 to the Pioneers 25.40. GSC scored an 8.3 or better in all three heats while the Bobcats had highs of 8.70 in heat 1 and an 8.850 in the third heat.

Running total of the meet heading into the tumbling event, 109.200 – 104.200 in favor of the Pioneers.

In the tumbling event, Glenville State had two scores 8.0 or better. They posted an 8.10 in heat four and then posted an 8.175 in heat six.

The Bobcats had four scores in the event of 8.4 or better as they took the tumbling event, 49.025 to 44.800. But GSC still held the overall lead, 154.00 to 153.225.

And in the final event, the team routine, GSC would win it as they posted an 81.990 while Frostburg State did not have a team routine.

Glenville State went on to claim a 235.990 to 153.225 victory.

Coming Up

Next up the Pioneers, they will travel to West Virginia Wesleyan on Thursday, April 1 for a 6pm matchup with the Bobcats.
